  • Trading Update 07-09-10

    LIFAN Project extended with second vehicle type The progress which has been made with the TX-6 and which has been shown to high ranking officers of LIFAN in a meeting supported by videos and photographs, has been acknowledged and appreciated by LIFAN. The project to build in a TX-6 B-sample in the LIFAN 620 is currently underway and the car will be delivered in China in the coming months.

  • TX-6 automatic transmission up to speed 03-08-10

    Antonov’s TX-6 automatic transmission has been assembled successfully on the pre-production level. This transmission is now undergoing rigorous functional and performance testing on the transmission test rig at the Warwick technical headquarters and has successfully achieved maximum input speed in each gear without any unexpected increases in temperature or drag losses.   • Trading update 08-07-10

    Antonov’s TX-6 automatic transmission project has reached a major milestone on the final stages towards production. The development of Antonov’s 3-speed powershifting transmission for electric and hybrid vehicle applications continues on schedule. Antonov’s 2-speed alternator project in conjunction with Prestolite and the MoD also continues on schedule.

  • MoD Prestolite 24-02-10

    MOD/DE&S and Antonov are pleased to announce that Antonov, in partnership with Prestolite Electric, a major manufacturer of alternators and other electrical equipment, has been awarded a contract by the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) to develop a high efficiency 2-speed transmission with active clutch control, suitable for integration with a military qualified alternator. The project with a present value of £200K will run all of 2010 with Antonov as the leading partner. This development may lead to series manufacturing in limited volumes for military alternator applications in the course of 2011.

  • Antonov & JV EFA Sign Agreement 16-02-10

    Antonov and JV EFA sign license agreement for TX-6 with a value of € 20 million. Antonov is pleased to announce that following the establishment of its 50/50 Chinese Joint Venture (JV), Chongqing EFA Transmission Co., Ltd (“EFA”) for the production of the Antonov TX6 automatic transmission, , together with Chongqing Landai Industry Co., Ltd (“Landai”), , a license agreement with a total value of € 20 million has been signed. This will provide revenues to Antonov from start of production of the TX-6 in the form of royalties in return for its investments in the design, development and productionisation of the TX-6 transmission up to B-samples stage.
